I recently went to a science center that had some information and questions about thought erasing pills. I couldn’t read all the information as I was chaperoning a fifth grade class trip. The whole thought kind of freaked me out and reminded me of “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”. I would imagine most people would think they wanted to erase heartache. I think we need the memories of heartache to help us grow but that doesn’t mean we have to keep the hurt.
I was at a viewing recently where the priest gave a lovely sermon. He spoke about how people always want to make people feel better when they are mourning. He made a great point of saying, we need to mourn. It is healthy to mourn for a period, as long as it doesn’t take over.
I would say that if your mourning is majorly interfering with your daily life after about three weeks, it is time to seek help. Yes, it is perfectly normal to mourn after that but if you can’t function at all or for more than half the day, you need help.
Hypnosis can help you get over the hurt of heartache. Whether the heartache is caused by a death of a loved one, or a cross country move, hypnosis can help you. Often after a loss, there are underlying issues that can make moving on harder. These can include things such as: fear of being alone, feelings of low self-worth, guilt, and many other negative feelings.
Hypnotherapy can help you figure out what the real issue is and reprogram the negative to become positive. It can allow you to take back your life and live a fulfilling life.
